Jim Carrey shared these remarkable words in a valedictorian speech he shared at Maharishi University of Management and they couldn’t be closer to the truth.

We often underestimate our power and we don’t realise the potential of our actions. It doesn’t cost us a thing to make others feel good, to compliment them or to share some goodwill – so why do we not do this as often as we can?

Jim Carrey says that there are two ways we can live our life. We can live in fear or live in love. He says to always choose love – I agree with that and here’s why:

We act in fear when we’re afraid of what others might think and we act in fear when struggle to love ourselves. That’s two important things right there. We must go at our ambitions with all our heart and push on through the challenges. Carrey says that, “You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.” When we’re pursuing what we love it empowers us and we start to see our abilities shine through in places we never thought. We gain more respect for ourselves, if we just try.

This euphoric feeling that we gain is what enables us to inspire others and we begin to become enthusiastic about seeing others grow just as we are. We lift others up with us. We start to have a profound impact on the lives of others and this is an invaluable source of satisfaction and self love. Something you can’t buy, no matter how rich you are.

The Effect You Have On Others Is The Most Valuable Currency There Is
