It’s really hard to play the game correctly…i find myself in deep contemplation about can and can’t before I break out

Contemplation is good. ‘Can’ means you have a desire to achieve something beyond the limitations that restrict you. ‘Can’t’ means you have decided that the limitations and restrictions placed on you by the world are too hard to overcome and that the reward will not be worthwhile. My friend, when you can find a reward that is worthwhile I’m sure that ‘can’ will be the only word that comes from your mouth. Just ask yourself, “What is it that I want to achieve more than anything?” and that is where you will find your answer.

That is type of person that i am,emotions are always at close to the surface…that is also my creativity and passion….so sometimes my words are misleading..i have a good understanding of life and it’d inter most working…ive been a student all my life..what has kept me here is my tenacity…i still have a bucket list…but as far as understanding sometimes in its simplistic when it’s all said and done its semantics

Stating I can means I am willing to try. Stating I can’t is negative. Perhaps, easier said than done, but better to try than not to. Mind-stirring post and thank you for following BrewNSpew.

Exactly right. You put it well. It has to do with effort and a will more than anything. Thanks for reading and your feedback!

To me, it means that optimism and pessimism are self-fullfilling prophecies. If you think you can, you will try and takes the steps necessary to achieve something. The achievement than “proves” you were right to believe you could. If you think you can’t, why bother trying? You won’t try and hence, will not achieve something “proving” that you were right to believe you couldn’t.

True, there are many things that we can do when we have to or are motivated to do. Also, a person needs to be cognizant of their true motivations for saying or thinking “I can’t.” If it’s because of lack of desire, for example, then one needs to discipline themselves to go beyond this.
However, we must also consider the reality that there are things we simply can’t do (e.g., lack of ability, talent, intelligence, aptitude). For example, I can’t scale K-2 or perform brain surgery. I know that I don’t have the ability or the aptitude to do these things. That’s reality.
Nonetheless, if you’re a Christian and you have the faith, you can do things that you’re not able to do in your own strength or ability. For if you’re a Christian and you believe, you can do things in the Lord’s strength and/or receive supernatural help to do things that you normally couldn’t do. With Jesus your can’t can become can with confidence, if it’s the Lord’s will to do so (ref. Philippians 4).
